We've Updated Our App!
Now we have TripSharing v1.1!
Improved
- Changed the icon of our app.
- Fixed the bug that the app would stop if the user left the search bar blank.
*The steps of uploading an app are quite similar with those of launching an app at the first time. The challenges which happened when we tried to launch our app can be seen in Leg 5: Launch App to the Google Play Store.
What we want to improve in the next version:
- The sizes of "name" and "contact me" in the Information page are too small.
- Change "Contact me wth xxx-xxx-xxxx" with both phone number and email, or other more ways. And why "contact me" has to have the '-' ?
- The size of pictures doesn't fit.

Challenges
Since none of us have a real Android device, we can only run apps on a virtual Android device. We used the Android emulator in Android Studio, and we tried to directly install apps from Google Play Store, which didn't work. Then we found an apk download website: /apkpure.com, where you can search for the app you want and download its apk file. It is really convenient to install an apk file in the emulator in Android Studio -- just drag the apk into the emulator. The only problem when we were using the emulator might be that we couldn't test the apps using location information, especially when they need a change of the location.
